Saca Tinta Pillow
STORY
The Saca Tinta Pillow is named after the Saca Tinta plant where the colour is derived. Saca Tinta meaning "gives dye" is a unique plant used often for naturally dyeing textiles as it can give up to 13 colours ranging from blue to pink depending on the dyeing technique used.
The Saca Tinta Pillow is handcrafted by the weavers of San Juan La Laguna in Lake Atitlan Guatemala. The textile is dyed naturally and then woven on the traditional backstrap loom. Due to the handcrafted nature, there may be slight variations.
